As Östermalm is considered to be the posh bit of Stockholm it’s easy to find both shops and restaurants that focuses on high quality. But, don’t let posh nosh put you off, it’s got some really family friendly places to hang out in.

And, Gärdet is right next door. Basically a giant field, but it hosts some of the most spectacular family friendly events of the year i.e. The Military Forces day. Close to Gärdet is Sweden’s tech science centre, Tekniska Museet (one of our favourites and for thousands of other families in Stockholm) and Sjöhistoriska (the national maritime museum).
