Play is such a fun learning but vital stage in your children’s lives. Understanding why and how children play could really help assist you with providing different opportunities for your children whilst they are at home with you. We will cover:

  • Why play is important 
  • Some types of play
  • If toys really are important
  • Screen/device time…

Expected take-aways: You will have a better understanding for why your children play the way they do and for for why play really is so important for children.

 About the course leader: My name is Eleanor Louise and I was born in 1982 in Cornwall, England.  I have been married to my English husband since 2007 and we have two children together born in 2008 and 2010.  We made the move from England to Sweden in 2011. I qualified as a nursery nurse and nanny in 2002 after completing  3 years of study and earning a BTEC N.D in Early Childhood Development and Education. I now have over 18 years of experience in childcare and development. I have enjoyed working with children in various countries including; England, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Sweden. I have supported parents with various parenting tasks for example;

  • how to play with their children
  • toilet training
  • different parenting techniques
  • bed time support 
  • and various other aspects of raising children.
