The Flying Elk is one Stockholm’s hottest new foodie holes. It’s based on a gastropub concept but with a much more sophisticated feel.
Set in Gamla Stan, Björn Frantzén’s 2-star gastropub has been called a “foodies on a budget” haven. We visited for a spontaneous birthday treat (kid-free) and it was terrific. But, it didn’t escape us that they were well prepared for children with high chairs, changing rooms and family friendly waiters.
And, the food!! WOW, it was AWESOME. Very gastro-pub, very tasty and beautifully presented – as someone said “food for the soul”.
