I sort of feel like Sjöhistoriska is the unsung hero of museums in Stockholm. We came across it a couple of years ago and happily discovered the amazing activities it hosts for kids. There is an indoor play space and a fantastic creative workshop called “Ruspriken”.

Every Saturday and Sunday, the creative workshop is open between 10:30 and 16:30. For a small fee you can spend the entire afternoon there creating your very own masterpieces. Trust me, I have never seen so much creative materials and arts supplies.

Our highlights to hit up:

The Sjöhistoriska is also part of the Naval Museum umbrella group that is home to The Vasa Museum and the Naval Museum in Karlskrona.
