In the hope that I don’t jinx us all by mentioning it but the weather is still pretty good and looks to be staying like this for a few weeks! A couple of my friends have been asking the question, how do you find out which parks have splash-ponds or “Plaskdamm” in Swedish. These are areas which have shallow paddling pools, sometimes with fountains, for toddlers and older children to cool off in during the Summer.
Well, it’s really easy to find out about Plaskdamm…via the Stockholmstad website.
You can filter the search but entering criteria like kommuns or zip code.
Our favourite splash ponds in Stockholm include Aspuddsparken, Flamingoparken in Skärholmen, Båtmanstorpets in Bromma and Fredhallsparkens in Kungsholmen
