“Let your children inspire me to inspire them with the world of ballet.” Gina Tse, Principal Dancer at The Royal Swedish Ballet.

Goal of Ballet International

I have always been inspired with the idea of making ballet more accessible to a wider audience. After many  years training as a Principal Dancer at The Royal Swedish Ballet, I have realised that the Royal Swedish Ballet is the only classical company here in Sweden. It’s a passion of mine to make the ballet language an artform accessible to all, through teaching and performing. Doing both these tasks with the highest quality. To make it possible for everyone to appreciate this artform.

About Ballet International

Ballet International was established for children not living in their own country in mind. Or, who come from a bi-lingual household. Ballet International is a lovely way for children and families to meet new friends from similar backgrounds. However, the classes are also open to children who would like to practice their English language skills. Ballet is the common language used in our classroom.

The children learn to develop social and creative skills alongside a musical ear, perseverance, concentration and self confidence. The goal of each class is teach basic ballet technique and a foundation on which to build. This includes teaching posture, rhythm, strength, flexibility and body awareness.

Making Ballet accessible to everyone.

From young to old, amateur to professional, home or away.

Ballet has no boundaries.

Ballet, a language for everyone to explore.

The children also get to understand about how ballet is also used to tell a story. For the baby class we have story time at the end of class, where they also learn a mime or dance to what we are reading. If the story is from a ballet we will incorporate the classical music e.g Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker, Prokofiev’s Cinderella etc.

Ballet International consists of seven groups:

Ballet International also offers Progressive Ballet Technique (Ballet Pilates) which is open to all ages from 8 years to adults. Pre-professional course for 14+ are also available. This course is designed for the young dancer with goals of having a professional dancing career.
