Tchaikovsky’s classic, seasonal offering has been totally rebooted thanks to Fredrik Rydman’s explosive new take on it. A slightly dystopian version see’s a young girl, Clara, living in a trash dump while her parents are begging on the streets of a wealthy, far off land. Her adventures leads her to filthy rats, spoilt candy fairies, handsome princes and a Nutcracker with RnB booming headphones.
Tchaikovsky’s score, and classical choreography are infused with RnB, Hip Hop and street dance. Stunning visual effects.
The show is advertised for the whole family but I would advise, no younger than 6 or 7 years of age.
