The Krakow Cribs belong to a unique crafts tradition of ancient medieval times. Nowhere in the world can you find similar Christmas cribs. They symbolize a world of tall tower spikes, onion-shaped domes, golden glittering sticks, broken windows, stairs and narrow columns, purple and turquoise. All in a fabulous style mix, creativity and amazing architecture.

At Hallwylska Museum there are about thirty odd Christmas cribs borrowed from the Historical Museum in Krakow in a Christmas exhibition for the whole family. The Christmas cribs from Krakow have a long history.

The exhibit is in cooperation with the Polish Institute. It runs from the 10th Nov until 27th January 2019.
