An afternoon of free Jazz in the Djurgården…

Jazz in the Park is an annual recurring summer and cultural event presented in various cities in Sweden with free entrance.

The vision is to create an equal program and enable interactivity between the audience and the jazz world.

14: 00-15: 00 – KONSERT WITH MALMAR MAKALÖSA

Malmars Makalösa gives the audience the chance to discover the many faces of music, from jazz, country and folk to rock, pop and blues. Child-friendly music with quality, fun and playfulness, combined with subtle texts that both young and old can recognize. The audience is invited to participate in songs and movements in the compelling songs.

16: 00-17: 00 CONCERT WITH MIMI TERRIS QUARTET (SE)

Mimi Terris is the singer who, with his own compositions, blown new life in the Swedish retrojazz tradition. Her personal texts and melodies bring the listener on a journey inward, where she with charm and sharpness treats big themes like love, sorrow and longing. At Jazz in Park 2017, the listener can hear songs from her critically acclaimed album Moving From Home, and she also presents brand new material from the upcoming album The Great Scale.

17: 00-18: 00 KONSERT WITH MARTIN FABRICIUS WITH NEFF IRIZARRY (DK) (FI / US)

Martin has studied at Berklee College of Music and has a bachelor’s degree in film music. He has recorded more than 30 animated, dumb and short films and lives and works in Copenhagen, where he also teaches percussion, composition and film music.

18: 00-19: 00 KONSERT WITH SIGURÐUR FLOSASON (IS / SE)

Sigurdur is one of Iceland’s premier musicians and has received several heavy international awards for his saxophone game. He plays with his daughter Anna-Greta and with musicians from Denmark and Sweden. This outstanding Nordic power pack will be seen on Jazz In Park.
