Sthlm Pride 2019

Stockholm Pride Parade

The highlight of the festival, Pride Parade, takes place on Saturday 3rd August at 1pm (13:00). The parade sets out from Stadshuset, Kungsholmen and dances through the city towards Östermalm IP. There is a map of viewing points on the Stockholm Pride website.

The parade is bright, colourful (sometimes loud), full of love, respect and PRIDE. It brings a lump to our throats seeing the unconditional love and respect that humans have to offer one another. Advisable to bring ear-defenders for little ones as they do like shouting about the love they have to offer (haha). But, that said, it really is a family affair and safe. There are plenty of parade wardens for you to ask for assistance if need be and lots of places to stand away from the crowds. Have a great Pride Parade and be safe!

When: Saturday, 3rd of August 2019, 1pm (13:00)

Where: Stadshuset, Kungsholmen

Cost: 0 SEK

Dear Eva-Lisa

When Eva-Lisa Bengtson started Sweden’s first club for trans people in 1964, she got post. The many letters came from transgender people who shared their innermost thoughts. Today, they give voice to a story that few know. Welcome to a reading of the letters that testify to love, solidarity and common struggle against prejudice.

The reading is part of the artist Sam Hultin’s project “Eva-Lisa’s Monument”.
